About Duffy Insurance

After working in the Insurance Business for more than 20 years, Paul Duffy was faced with a choice in 1996. The choice was to purchase a small book of business that included property and casualty insurance clients or leave the insurance business all together. He made the choice to move forward with the purchase and Duffy Insurance Agency was born.

In July of 1996, Paul, joined by his brother Steve Duffy and two other employees began servicing clients under the Duffy Insurance name.

Paul and Steve maintained a great reputation in the insurance business. This was the recipe for success that was soon to come. Their service centric philosophy was to take care of your customers and the rest will take care of itself.

By the year 2001 Duffy Insurance had doubled in size to 8 employees in 5 short years when opportunity came knocking again.

In 2002 Duffy Insurance acquired the highly regarded Babson-Elwell and Davis in Gloucester. Babson-Elwell and Davis was about the same size as Duffy Insurance Agency at the time.

By 2006 business was steadily increasing and it was time to expand. Paul purchased a building and Duffy Insurance Peabody opened its doors.

Marc Duffy graduated from college in 2006 and joined the Peabody office upon his graduation.

In 2008 Duffy Insurance inked a deal with digital marketing company Astonish Results to further expansion.

Today, Duffy Insurance employs 22 people from its Lynn, Peabody and Gloucester locations.
